This 2,687-ft peak is a favorite among hikers and mountaineers for its 360-degree picture-perfect landscape, its overnight camping suitability and majestic view the morning after. It is advisable to start the two-hour trek to Panimahawa Ridge in the afternoon and reach the peak by sundown to camp overnight. If the climate allows it, you would be signing the day off with an amazing display of a sea of clouds which will slowly render into a starry display.
The most magical portion of the Panimahawa experience is at dawn, when campers wait for the sun to rise on the peaks of the surrounding ridges and paint Panimahawa with dashing golden colors that reveal the amazing natural beauty of Bukidnon. This view is indeed incomparable and the lucky campers often pair it with their morning coffee and take photos to take with them back home.
