PHIDEX is the country’s largest platform that has been catering to the diving community since 2019, mobilizing industry experts, stakeholders, and dive enthusiasts in one communal space to foster collaborations, innovative ideas, sustainable solutions, and economic opportunities. PHIDEX offers expansive networking prospects for decision-makers, communities, and individuals with a passion for all things diving.

“We are very happy to be an exhibitor in this year’s PHIDEX. After over four years of dive explorations and product development for Camiguin and Misamis Oriental we have already been included in the dive map of the Philippines as one of the most beautiful dive destinations in the country,” DOT 10 Regional Director Marie Elaine Unchuan said.
Currently, DOT 10 is holding the NorthMin Dive Festival which started on July 22 and will run until October. It is composed of two components, the Misamis Oriental leg and the Camiguin leg and features much-awaited events such as Underwater Shootouts, Scubasurero Coastal and Underwater cleanup drives, and Dive awareness seminars for dive stakeholders.

“The amazing feedback and the overwhelming participation of international dive photographers in our NorthMin Dive Festival and upcoming NorthMin Dive Shootout proves the success of our dive programs and promotions. We would like to thank our local governments, partner agencies BFAR and the DENR and of course our local dive operators and stakeholders for the support to DOT 10,” Dir. Unchuan added.

Aside from the exhibits of the country’s top diving destinations, PHIDEX will also hold the Dive Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings between dive stakeholders and operators, Dive Conferences and Seminars and post familiarization tours to increase destination knowledge and conduct first-hand assessment and inspection of dive destinations.

Also included in Region 10’s delegation is Mayor Rommel Maslog of the Municipality of Talisayan in Misamis Oriental and Congressman Jason Almonte of the First District of Misamis Occidental.
