DOT 10 SHOWCASES THE FLAVORS OF MINDANAO IN KUMBIRA 2022!

It was a fun and flavorful day at Ayala Centrio Mall as the Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) held the prelude to the KUMBIRA Culinary Show, one of the core events of Higalaay Festival 2022. Taking inspiration from this year’s theme, “Tubong Mindanaw: Showcasing the products and talented skills of Mindanao,” DOT 10 brought the gastronomic treasures of the five Mindanaoan regions under the banner of DOT’s 'Colors of Mindanao' campaign to the biggest, longest-running and most successful culinary event in the country.

Featured in the “Colors of Mindanao” food station are the Alavar Sardines from the Zamboanga Peninsula; Browa, Dodol, and Tiyateg from Lanao del Norte representing Northern Mindanao; Durian Jam, Mangosteen Jam, Durian Tart, Mangosteen Tart, Coffee and Malagos Chocolate from Davao Region; Tuna Chicharon from Soccsksargen; and Salvaro from Caraga.
“Together as one Mindanao, we will show the world the true colors and beauty of our home, from our captivating, unique, and world-class tourism destinations, to our delicious culinary treasure and of course, the warm hospitality that is truly Mindanaoan,” DOT 10 Director Marie Elaine Unchuan said.
