Misamis Oriental is certainly the place to get high on ecotourism and festivities both for celebrating bountiful harvest and cultural assets of the province. As the gateway to Northern Mindanao and the industrial hub of the region, this province boasts of an airport with international standard and several seaports. It is a perfect combination of nature, adventure, culture, rich marine resources, and home to the Philippine Sailfin Lizard.

The Initao-Libertad Protected Landscape & Seascape is coined as the Forest by the Sea with a distinctively unique environment. It holds a verdant limestone forest and is a sanctuary of a variety of wildlife. Misamis Oriental is blessed with pristine dive sites. Dive resorts offering complete facilities and dove expeditions are wildly available in the province. One can visit the coral gardens of Misamis Oriental with the best scuba diving sites Agutayan Marine Sanctuary in Jasaan, Duka Bay in Medina, and the Punta Diwata in Magsaysay. On the trip to the east side of the province, one can drop by at the municipality of Jasaan for a cool, refreshing experience in this “Town of Springs and Falls”. Soak in the invigorating waters cascading from the mountainside or lounge in the municipality’s long stretch of beach while enjoying the scenic views.
