From Fantasy to Reality and It's Near You!

Whether you are a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world of Middle Earth or not, you will surely be amazed with the newest attraction in Malaybalay City. Called the Hobbit House, it is a DIY project by Mt. Kitanglad Agro-Eco Farm co-owner Benjamin Maputi Jr.
"Having DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Hobbit-inspired houses in the farm has been a dream since I watched the movie 'Lord of the Rings' and much more inspired to construct it by a friend who also likes to have one in her place," says Maputi in an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro.
The hobbit house is made out of earthly materials, mostly found inside Mt. Kitanglad Agro-Eco Farm, in Imbayao, Malaybalay City. The hobbit houses are not the only attraction inside the Agro-eco Farm. With an entrance fee of P50, visitors can have a great outdoor experience and an educational tour around the 22-hectare farm, surrounded by an untouched biodiverse forest with 51 different species of birds, and other animals, while sipping with a hot cup of Kitanglad Brew Coffee. Mt. Kitanglad Agro-Eco Farm also produces their own citronella oil, available for only P100.
Mt. Kitanglad Agro-Eco Farm is great place for an outdoor, nature, wildlife and farming experience.
