Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park is located between Malaybalay City and the municipalities of Lantapan, Impasugong, Sumilao and Libona in the province of Bukidnon. It is considered as the ancestral domain of the tribal communities of Bukidnon. It is the 3rd highest peak in Mindanao and the 4th highest in the Philippines. The Kitanglad mountain range was declared an ASEAN Heritage Park in 2009 as it is one of the few remaining rainforests in the Philippines and the home of some of the most important diverse species of rare and endemic wildlife in the country such as the Philippine Eagle and Bukidnon woodcock.
