DIVING IN CAMIGUIN

Just below the cerulean waters of Camiguin lies a vast aquamarine paradise which was famously hailed by the Asian Dive Magazine as the 6th Best Dive Site in Asia. It is this rich underwater flora and fauna that inspired the Camiguin Dive Festival, held from June to October every year. The Province is famous for its pristine dive sites which boasts of a kaleidoscope of corals in their vastness and schools of fishes of varied, colorful species such jacks, barracudas, sardines, thresher sharks, stingrays, green and hawksbill turtles, seahorses, Mandarin fishes, colorful shrimps, a myriad of nudibranchs, and other marine life. If you are lucky, you can even spot rare species such as the hairy frogfish. The waters of Camiguin is indeed a photographer’s dream, a diver’s ultimate adventure, and a travel junkie’s must-see destination.
